Dia-Compe also makes the HR-07 "tandem hand rests":

my build has a 3 speed rear hub with a coaster brake, so not needing brake levers. silver king frames didn't mount any caliper brakes anyway. but i'll be using those nubs to hold on while i engage dragging my foot on the ground for emergency stops! but thanks for the info!
