It is better in my opinion to buy bike underwear that has an artificial chamois liner that can be worn under any shorts one wishes. That is commonly done for those riding mountain bikes who want longer shorts.

Being able to change out the underwear and put on clean ones is a good way to avoid bacterial skin infections (saddle sores) from riding.
