Thanks big john and LAJ. No more misfires on my test drive tonight. Did plugs, too. Felt a lot zippier!

My guess is that the plastic retaining tab on the injector connector failed so it was making intermittent contact. I went ahead and replaced the injector since I was in there, but I didn’t have a new connector so it’s got a zip tie bandaid that I’ll remedy on Sunday.

Ended up having to use the coil I had bought since one of the connector retaining clips broke on the coil side of that one too, and then a second one broke about halfway off so I’ll fix that properly when I do the injector harness work.

At least now I know exactly how to pull the intake and fuel rail now, and since I won’t have to remove the injector again I shouldn’t smell like gas after I do that work.

Crimping is the best splice method for engine stuff, right?
