The Bar Keepers Friend is the key (I think). I saw that as a recommendation on here via search. One of the ingredients is oxalic acid. Which I've seen referenced here on BF for rust removal.

I was going to try rags soaked in Evaporust then wrap with saran wrap. But I didn't want to wait 12-24 hours. Plus the idea of wrapping in between the spokes gave me a head ache.
