It was 43F at the summit. I could have used full-fingered gloves, and maybe shoe covers (toes went numb).
I've used Gore Windstopper vests for years in those conditions. The lightweight one with a mesh back. The zipper broke and I found a Garneau vest on sale and it's just not the same. It's fine for some rides but a cold wind will cut through @43 degrees when descending. Next year I will get another Gore. I have a heavier vest but it's hard to get it into a pocket and it's too hot for climbing long climbs.
