I wasn't recommending cheap tape as much as saying good technique and not pulling it too hard will prevent the tape from creeping - where the adhesive acts like a lubricant when it gets warm. 33 is the best tape, and it works so well (again, properly applied) that I wouldn't bother with anything else.
