Bikes: Too many bikes, too little time to ride

Rear hub advice - can't back pedal

Symptoms: one day while riding I realized that I cannot back pedal. I can pedal forward but I feel some resistance.

If I loosen the QR lever, then I can back pedal. If I tighten the QR lever, then I cannot back pedal.

The hub itself is a Superteam CX6 rear hub. I'm using the axle>QR endcaps adaptor because my frame takes regular QR.

When I use two 5mm hex keys to each endcap, I can tighten or loosen the QR endcaps to the thru axle. When completely loosened, I can remove the freehub along with the attached cassette. Below is a picture of what I see after pulling out the axle with freehub (and cassette) attached.

The main thing that stood out is one of the three pawl springs is broken. Another pawl was displaced but I managed to put it back in place. Is this (spring) a replaceable part or do I need to replace the entire freehub body? It seems to be pressed in?

There are three pawls. On one of the pawls, the spring broke.

I am not sure if the broken pawl spring is the reason I cannot back pedal. It may also have something to do with the thru axle to QR adaptors.
