Thanks for the reply. The shifters and brakes are one unit. I'll post some pix tomorrow. As far as off roading and commuting, this will be my daily rider (only 1 mile) on and off campus until I have the funds for a road bike, but I do enjoy hitting the trails when I have the time.

Do you know of any good websites where I could get the shifter/brake unit and what brand to look for?
