thank you Trakhak maybe that is what happened. as for Markeologist "Must admit, I’d like to see the top of this “stem” I will update with some photos. I have never had it apart so I think its past due.. I will update with better pic's of the stem off the bike. I still have not found my paperwork I got with this bike but I'm still looking
