Yes - I just reanimated a 22-year-old thread because I was interested in the review.

I just bought one of these at a second hand store for my daughter to grow into. She's 8 and still riding a Diamondback with 3x7 gearing and 24" wheels. I paid about $80. The original tires and seat are dry rotted and unusable, but the rest of the bike is pretty pristine, right down to the original plastic wrap on the right side crank arm. The frame and wheels say made in the USA as well. I'll have about two years before she is ready to ride this thing, which should give me more than enough time to go over the mechanicals.

While I was buying bikes, I also grabbed a Specialized Hard Rock Sport FS of similar 2005ish vintage for my son. He's 11. That one cost me about $40. This one has the RockShox on the front and a 3x7 drivetrain. Also in fairly pristine condition - the tires look very good and the labels on the tires exactly match the model of the bike so I assume they are original.
