I think Rouvy offers a 7 day free trial. Maybe I'll go that route to see if I can get both the Zwift Hub and a dumb trainer to work with a dual membership. Her bike is a 3X8 setup, and changing out the cassette on the trainer all the time would be a pain.
If you don't care about realistic actions of shifting (using a keyboard key instead of a shifter), you could use the free indieVelo and just use her rear shifter to get the chain settled onto a cog on your 11s cassette that has the least amount of noise and then use virtual shifting without changing cassettes. Would still ahve to swap bikes on the smart trainer, but it'd give you virtual shifting, ability to use either bike on it, and it's (currently) free.
