Okay, so I went to the OP's Imgur link, And based on this picture, the chain and the big ring at least are shot. The chain is not nestling down into the teeth at the top of the ring, and the big ring teeth I can see are absolutely pointy. See if you agree:



So, chain and big ring (at least) shot. Cassette cogs are Uniglide and could be flipped.

The thing is, it's not a bad bike! It needs some TLC, and some bits.

EDIT: Small ring too. Looks like a saw blade.
