Need advice on 1992 Trek Multitrack 750 Conversion to Gravel Bike
I just bought a 1992 Trek Multitrack 750 and want to turn it into a gravel/light touring bike. I definitely want a triple crank, a flat bar (probably Jones H-Bar), and thumb shifters. I’ve got a couple Shimano 105 11-speed cassettes in the cabinet so I’m thinking 11 speeds. What I need is advice on Shimano 11-speed RD, FD, and thumb shifter options that would work with a triple crank. Shifter options could be non-Shimano. I’m thinking a max 42-tooth rear cog would suffice for the moderately hilly terrain I ride in. I also posted this in the Cyclocross/Gravelbike specialty forum.
