For the Domane specifically I don't think the SLR frame itself is worth it since it still weighs 1200g which in perspective a Specialized Roubaix SWORKS frame weighs 825g. Point being the Domane isn't really a bike you care about weight and if you did Trek overall aren't industry leaders in that aspect
