I also have had a bunch of Hunt wheels and while they do ship most of their wheels from the US their customer service is UK based, the wheels are designed in the UK but made in China, and for me I had a slew of problems with all my wheels, which were always resolved by just replacing them which brings up the fact that Hunt has great customer service but to me Hunt was fine before we had valid direct to Consumer Chinese wheels, but now with Winspace, Elite Wheels, and many others you can get cheaper wheels and or wheels that are higher specced and simply perform better. Two pairs of their basic "aero" line had cracks at the nipples and my set of the Limitless wheels had a hub go bad under 500 miles.
FFWD are good wheels and decently priced I just feel for what you get there are much better wheels out there. The RYOTT44 240 EXP are their top of the line wheels and for $1500 that's better than most Western big bike brands they weigh a slightly hefty 1520g, have regular Sapim spokes, and regular steel bearings. Again nothing wrong with that but for less that shipped you can get Winspace 2023 Hypers
IMO since you are willing to buy a non Western big bike brand and even a direct to consumer Chinese brand you have a ton of options and for me it will come down to how much you value customer service, what you ride, and how much you value performance. Zipp 303S are like the go to big brand wheel upgrade because they are affordable at like $1300-$1400 but to me they are utter crap since they are hookless and the bearings suck. Why people like them are because they are a big name and because they have great customer service.
