This is incorrect. the hydroxyl group on a carbohydrate is bonded to a carbon atom whereas the hydroxyl referred to in water is an ion making the water slightly alkaline. No energy bio-available in ionic hydroxyl group. I know, I took lots of chemistry in collage. Including Biochemistry.
However, that doesn't change your conclusion that this stuff is of little to no value.
