Thanks Cranky. I always do my research before I ask a question here, because: A) I don't want to bother everyone unnecessarily, and B) I don't want to look like an idiot. And to be frank, I don't want to invite demeaning comments. I can't tell you how much time I have spent on the whole BB thing, from trying to nail down the right size BB, to being sure it matches to my crank, to finding out that my crank was recalled, to trying to get a straight answer as to what tool is needed. I bought a used Cannondale Slice frame that had a standard BB threaded insert installed, which caused more confusion. I think I have it all figured out now. Thank you once again!
