This thread will probably hit 100 responses and who knows how many reads. It would be interesting if one person changed their opinion at the end of all this? Then there is always the paper map guy who rears their head and warning everyone of imminent doom if technology is relied upon. The same thing probably happened when we shifted from oral history to written, warning everyone what would happen when papyrus was relied upon.
