Have had 3 bikes stolen over 32 years. first was locked to the wooden elevator cage in the (supposedly) locked basement of an apartment building I lived in in college. Sawed through the elevator cage and took bike.
Second was stolen off a train was shipped as luggage. Third thick cable cut from bike rack (parked overnight) Now I never park overnight and use U lock and cable.
