There's not enough info to form any opinion about this specific event. One report mentioned the rider coming off the sidewalk, so it might be an all to familiar right hook situation


One thing that is noteworthy is that e-bike deaths dwarf pedal bike deaths. While I've no idea about the relative numbers of e-bikes vs bicycles, I suspect that we're seeing the results of mixing speed with inexperience.
