IMO you need to ride a 100k on this bike. I have this super-flat triangle 100k that goes Milwaukie, Kelley Point, Troutdale, Gresham, Milwaukie. 75% MUP, most of the rest is bike lanes. Ride it CW or CCW depending on which way the wind is blowing up or down the gorge.

There are parts of that route where you'll appreciate being on a budget bike.
gugie and I rode a lot of that route a few weeks ago, except we really took our lives into our own hands and cut across the 205 bike path. I tend to look like I'm riding a Huffy even when I'm riding a nice bike -- just something about my personal appearance -- so I think that helped. The next day I was poking around at maps, thinking there's got to be a better way to get from the Springwater to Marine Drive. I came up with something a lot like what you've got but without going all the way to Troutdale.
