I can ride 50 miles in a day no problem and have been able to for almost as long as I've been riding. I took up running about a year and a half ago and found that I could only run a few blocks before calling it quits. The variations of cardio are totally different experiences. Now I run about 3 miles a day, 4 or 5 days a week no problem.
