Are you sure the replacement hanger had the der screwed in "square" with the hole? Most replacement hangers are made of relatively soft Al and cross threading the der mounting bolt (fine threading for the 10mm diameter makes starting the bolt in crooked easier than with a coarse threading). I completely agree that any new hanger should be checked, and corrected if needed, for its installed alignment.

When the problem becomes too complex or can't be understood that's when a more experienced set of eyes can often help out, and often fairly quickly. Andy
