I certainly have. My SRAM Force went through bearings long before the jockey wheel was worn. I was pretty shocked at the cost of replacement jockey wheels, so after the second set wore out I bought some sealed bearings on Ebay and used a bench vice to push them in, which worked fine. All the Shimano derailleurs I've had have used bushes rather than sealed bearings and those seem to last much better.
