They’re remarkably easy to make too. I’ll try that. Unfortunately, the next day I’ll be in town that I’m not working is July 3.
To my eyes, both the hanger that was on the bike during the fall and the brand new one look the same. As near as I can see, they both mount the derailleur in the exact same position.
I am not claiming that the new hanger is perfect. However, if it’s imperfect, they both are.
It really leaves only a handful of options.
- The whole rear triangle is tweaked but not enough to affect the alignment of the thru axle or disc brakes
- The derailleur is bent somewhere that I can’t see
- It was always crooked and I’m neurotic but I should check the alignment anyway.
I’m starting to think it’s door number 3. I just don’t want to wear out a $100 pulley before I have a chance to check alignment.
