I'm smitten with a bike I found on the nets. It's represented as originally a late 80s Schwinn / Klein 1.86kg ATB. It has been stripped of paint, aluminum polished and converted to a semi beach cruiser with 5-speed Nexus coaster brake hub. It's a perfect (for me) around town, towpath kind of bike.

This is the front brake. I'm far from an aficionado, but have not seen anything like it. Can we ID it?

Also, the old rear brake mounted to bosses on the underside of the chainstays. Maybe Suntour XC Power?

I love the clean look of the bare wishbone seat stay.

I might have to buy this bike regardless, but if I really like the frame, I might want to ditch the Nexus and maybe make it a 1 x ??

Thoughts?
