You will otherwise spin out in top gear at 12mph and look like a hummingbird in the process.
Passed by old ladies on their tricycles. Just kidding.
And definitely ditch that dopey kickstand. Looks out of place on such a nice bike.
There is a 40T on the bike I'm looking at, but according ChatGPT, the Nexus gearing, with a 40T chainring would equate to 48, 42, 40, 36 and 30 cogs. That doesn't seam right, but my brain isn't up to calculating gear inches tonight.

AFWIW, I am far from a flatlander. Hills galore all around. But I don't remember my old bike with the Nexus being geared that low. But that was my first bike since my 1970 Schwinn Varsity when I was a kid.

It would be quite easy to play with chainrings until I dial it in. I suppose I could always try a double up front, but I love the clean look of the 1X.
