A friend of mine and his wife were pedaling there ebikes on an MUP in San Diego and a Police Officer told them to stop and dismount their ebikes. They have used this path for several years and never had any trouble. The municipality has banned e anything from using the path that has an 8 mph speed limit. I believe this is what we have to look forward to in many places in the near future. It is easier to ban ebikes than to police the law.
