MTB disc calipers use a Long Pull lever... this can be determined by looking at the length of the actuator arm, from pivot center to cable clamp surface... 35mm or under for "short pull, Road" and 43mm-ish for "Long pull, MTB"
LEVER pull ratio can be checked by measuring from the lever pivot point to the cable pivot... 25-ish mm for "Short pull" and 33mm and up for "Long pull"... and i've seen variables all up and down the scale, in between... sigh.
i like Adjustable pull ratio Avid MTB flat bar Levers.. you can actually tune brake bias, with some experimentation... reducing rear tire skids or front tire lockups/stoppies.
is anyone aware of a Road lever that has an adjustable pull ratio???
I thought about going disc but that means I need a new wheel.
