Actually Smelly, the group set isn't an R3000. It's a slightly older version of the Sora set. I can't recall the number given to it. It has 5 arms on the large chainring, if I recall correctly. The FD came as part of the overall groupset.
Well, you need to identify the FD model number and ascertain whether it has a trim function, and if so, whether you are using it.
