I don't have much personal experience with Wahoos, but I went on a long ride with someone that had one. We had to wait about 10 minutes before he could download the ride from his phone. Don't ask me why he didn't do it beforehand. But the phone was the only way to do it. In contrast, I recently went on a ride with my spouse and d/l the two routes we were going to ride onto my Garmin in a couple of minutes while I was sitting in Burger King. That included pinning the routes on rwgps so they were easier to find. I didn't really like how dependent the Wahoo was on rwgps either, it seems a lot clunkier than the way it works on Garmin.
