Thanks, good to know. Well someone appears to have measured something wrong, unless the rim is way out of radial true, otherwise the spoke should fit.

Last I bought a couple spokes at a LBS, they measured, cut and threaded, and I installed at home, there were a bit of threads sticking out out past the nipple, but not on any other spokes. So they cut too short.
