Bikes: Two Peter Mooney customs, a 1980 Trek 510 townie, a Marin Stelvio set up for TTs.

Today I did the lighthouse loop (about 39.4miles with about 2200ft climbing total; mainly small undulations). The way out was fun with a westerly side wind. The way back was brutal with stiff headwinds on the two larger rises, and 13mph gusting 23mph direct headwind over the last ten or so miles turning that portion into an unplanned interval session. I had hoped to make good use of the 53/17 on the way back; nope! I wound up averaging 19.75mph, but it wasn't at all pleasant for my nearly 62 year old body. I'm sure I'll pay tomorrow.
