Sadly last year, I had a run in with my Trek 510, and while there's fork displacement and chipping Imron, it has nowhere near this evident damage. It's plain the ad poster is lying through his teeth, and I think he well knows that.
It is possible that the seller bought it that way and was convinced by the previous owner's lie that the bike was never crashed.
There was a poster a few years ago who proudly put up a photo of his Peugeot UO-8 with an even more outrageously s-shaped fork and then went ballistic when we all told him the fork was bent, calling us know-nothing morons and the like.
Can't remember whether he was banned or just disappeared after being challenged to show a catalog photo of that model (or any Peugeot) with an s-shaped fork.
