FWIW i wear woolie boolie socks from MEC (or another wool equivalent) in my sidi dominators and they fit fine. with cycling socks they are a bit too roomy so you'll notice a difference if you wear something thinner. are you using the sidi insoles? try putting them in if you aren't they make a big difference in fit as well.
