Was just reading the beginning of this thread, someone recommended H Plus Son TB14 rim, I took a look... DOUBLE EYELET (SOCKET)! Holy cow! I thought only Mavic made those, but hadn't done a deep dive. They mention on the website, "neurotic attention to detail", such as issues of sourcing new double eyelets. I don't know if they are more durable than new rims that are just thicker (and V-section) at the nipple holes, but it's nice to know this style rim is still available for those wishing a durable rim in a classic look.
