Going from 6 speed std spacing to 7 speed should not be an issue. Done it a number of times in the past.

According to Sheldon Brown's website, it is a 5 speed freewheel (at least for my bike which appears to be a 1986 model): https://www.sheldonbrown.com/bridges...tone-mb-2.html
