I'm a daily motorcycle rider, and have found that cotton helmet liners work best for me. Particularly these - American Roadrider Head Skins. Thin, comfortable, and apparently, as I look around now, hard to find.

But, might try a cotton liner. Simple, black, non-bikery looking. I cycle through a bunch of them, clean one each day during the summer, and just rinse them in the sink and put them back in line for the next use.
