(After the 1984 SN format transition, first position "O"=1986, 2nd position P="produced in fortnight 16", remaining numeric characters are a sequential number for frames produced during that period.)
Wow, that is excellent info indeed! The bike is a Koga-Miyata, modelyear 1987. The framenumber on the bottom bracket confirms this, as well as the parts on the bike. Did Miyata always mark their frames like this? Never knew that. Well, the mystery is solved. Thanks!
