I wondered where you got that front rack; Most I have seen do not have the third set of vertical struts aft near the fork, yours does, which is good.
I suggest a change to the clip attachment at the fork crown; That attachment prevents the rack from swinging fore/aft about the lower mounting bolts, but your clip lacks stiffness in that direction. I recommend a typical rack stay, going from the fork crown, diagonally forward under the rack to the second cross rod on top, attached with a rubber-covered stainless steel P-clamp (often found in various sizes at marine supply, or hardware store in plated (not stainless)). This more forward direction of the stay will be more rigid in the direction the rack tries to move. I use this setup to secure my rear rack on my folder, as the low frame eyelets would make a poor angle to the front of the rack.

A wide double crank (50/34 or 52/36) should fit and give good chainline on the Storm, if it has 130mm OLD rear and 43.5mm crank chainline (distance from center of bike to midpoint between the two chainrings), this is pretty standard chainline for a road double crank on 68mm BB shell and 130mm OLD. On my bike this was difficult, had to grind off small part of FD inner flange/lip, due to thickness of FD bracket adaptor; YOUR bike has an FD hanger, so may not have same problem:
