That's what I love about it. I've made a lot of friends from all walks of life through cycling. I started riding 15 years ago or so after taking about 20 years off. I got in super cheap, acquiring bikes for bargain prices, until my most recent buy which is a new Trek Checkpoint gravel bike. I do mostly city/suburban riding, but I think a gravel bike is pretty well suited to that kind of riding. And yes, there are some gravel trails around too.
