It’s not side to side, more like a little play rotationally just as I put the pressure on. And definitely feels like one arm moving relative to the other. Oh and can’t be the recall thing, that was only Ultegra & DA. I’ll certainly check the preload screw thing. Likely take it all apart and reassemble.
I’ll report back when I’ve done some proper investigation.
It wouldn't be just the preload screw coming loose unless the crank bolts are also loose or the crankarm wasn't installed properly, which certainly could cause what you are describing.
