Why did the industry move away from calipers like the Campy NR series that had a lever to open the caliper? I recently tossed a Magura HS-33 caliper (which was fantastic from a braking perspective) for that reason.

I use 44mm up from 28mm (GP5000 to Rene Herse slicks) on my gravel bike on pavement. I’m pretty sure the 44mm tires are faster, and I definitely no longer get the tar beaten out of me on what passes for roads in San Diego.
