In the past coupe weeks this site has been plagued by pop-ups, mostly "Renew McAfee" (which I never had on this machine) and sometimes other stuff, and just now some auto-download (which my machine quarantines) and it is a little annoying.

Is there some setting I can change (cookies or something) which could stop this, or is this like the Thai call-girl ads, which are beyond your control, or ... any suggestions? I am pretty tired of it.
