If he was making money out of the photo then I would agree. But taking a random photo off a public website and posting it on a discussion forum is not exactly unique. Nobody cares.

I once posted a photo of a squirrel I took in our back garden and a guy contacted me to ask permission to use it in a wildlife book. That makes sense because he was selling the book. But otherwise who cares?
