Mine has been retrofit with larger tires, 28s I think, I had to just barely dust the back of the front derailleur for them to clear. Made a big difference in ride, as that frame is the stiffest that Bicycling magazine had tested at the time. A bit too sporty for me as I learned over many decades.
I got rid of the biopace with the crank swap; I debated keeping the 42 but kept the HS+G intact and glad I did, though it's an anachronism. I'd swap out my sporty 50/34 hollow spindle for it, except that would require going back to square taper on my townie, and I just love the hollow spindle system for ease of bearing preload adjustment and ability to take up slack from wear.
HAH! Found old pics:

Those pics are 20 years ago, LED bike lights were still very expensive. Notice the low cost LED flashlight held with P-clamps, it was just barely enough to get me home if needed, and not very fast.
Gosh I don't recall this, but looks like the inner chainring is biopace, but the others not. Some others have used that setup, biopace only on granny.
All in all, I think a reasonably tasteful setup for a road race bike, allowing me to carry tools, a windbreaker, perhaps a bit of food. No mounts for racks, though I could have used P-clamps around the frame, but the above setup was adequate.
