I’ve heard that older carbon forks that are straight 1-1/8” or the earlier 1” carbon forks are much better at attenuating bumpy roads than the modern ones with the lower oversized 1-1/2” bearing / steer tube. It might make for a new reason why some serious riders might seek out “vintage”.
Also, I have Ritchey carbon bars (I think they are Superlogic) that feel more compliant than my aluminum bar bike (which has a Reynolds carbon 1-1/8” fork).
Also, I believe that tubeless tires even in the skinny 25mm widths pound away at the body noticeably less than a comparable butyl tubed 25mm tire FWIW.
