I didn't measure the Omni Racer before install, but the Tange is 107mm for sure. Just visually guessing I'd say both sides are probably around 1mm farther out from the frame now.
One measurement is worth a thousand opinions. Remove the “new” bottom bracket and measure the length of the spindle.
Flagrant speculation: it could be that someone bought the incorrect length BB, then bought the correct length and returned the incorrect length in the second box. Dishonest but it happens.
