Timing to meet may be difficult because I'm often busy doing many things. PM me and we can explore this option more if you want. It won't work if I have to do any shipping. It takes me too much time to pack and then I have to run the frame down to South Bend to ship it off and the whole afternoon is lost. I'm just not set up to efficiently pack and ship frames and it is really expensive to ship now too. I learned how to build and paint frames in the UK in 1975. I would roughly calculate that harvesting a hanger, prepping the 2 for brazing and clean up afterward (mostly file work) would take me somewhere close to 3 hours. So you might want to think if that expense is worth it. Ordinarily no - except when the frame has sentimental value and in which case it is well worth it.
Doug,
This sounds like a plan to me. I can make a road trip out of it, and also have a sister in Michigan and maybe we can drop by on the way up or back for a little diversion. I bought this frameset back in 1983 and have well over 40,000 miles on it. It's worth it for me to fix it. PM me on the cost.
