My Roubaix Comp Triple came with Shimano wheels, even though I was expecting Alex wheels (per the Specialized web site). I'm not a racer, most of my riding is century's and such, but I'm wondering if I should change out the standard tires to something more flat resistant. I would rather go a little slower and not be too conerned about flats.
Also, I would like to thank you for all the posts you've made over the last few months concerning the Roubaix. Your insights were very helpful when I was making the descission as to which bike to purchase.
Hey no problem...I love these bikes but I must admit I didn't put a single foot of distance on those tires so I have no clue as to their durability. Specialized makes some good tires but those are not high end tires...I gave mine to my father for his back up bike which had worn out tires...but maybe I gave him a curse? Anyway I would suggest you look at the Vittoria Rubino Pro Slick...I ran those for alomst a full year and never got a single flat...plus they feel great on the road and perform great too.
